Replacing your old smart lock with a Door Keeper can be done in two ways:
- by calling in a professional,
- by installing it yourself.
Option 1: Self-installation.
Order the Door Keeper from the Somfy store. Don't forget to use the exceptional discount code when making your purchase.
Steps to follow for installation:
Ensure that your door is equipped with a knob cylinder. This will be necessary for the installation of the Door Keeper. If you need a new knob cylinder, you can order one from the Somfy store.Remove your old smart lock, making sure to leave only the cylinder on the door.
Refer to the Door Keeper installation manual, specifically section 1.2 "Installing the Product" for detailed instructions on installing your new smart lock.
Option 2: Professional installation.
Please visit the Somfy website to make your request and be connected with a professional.
Important Warnings:
- If you screwed your old lock to the door, note that the mounting plate of the Door Keeper does not entirely cover the holes from the old screws.
- If your old lock is equipped with an accessory such as a keypad and/or a badge reader, these accessories may not be compatible with the Door Keeper. In that case, you will no longer be able to use these accessories after the Door Keeper is installed.
