There are two scenarios:
- I am a new user, I must install Door Keeper directly on the Somfy Protect application.
- My Door Keeper is already installed on the Somfy Keys App, I must then switch to the Somfy Protect application,
1 / I install directly on Somfy Protect
If you have just purchased Door Keeper, your Door Keeper must first be installed on your door: How is Door Keeper installed.
Then, you can proceed to connect your lock using the Somfy Protect application.
Download the Somfy Protect app via your phone's store.
Create an account, or if you are already a user of connected Somfy products, log in with your email address and password.
Next, from the menu click on "my equipment," click on the "+", and select "Door Keeper."
Then let the application guide you.
2 / I need to switch to the Somfy Protect App
Download the Somfy Protect app via your phone's store.
Log in with your Somfy Keys credentials (Somfy uses single sign-on, so you'll already be recognized on Somfy Protect)
Next, from the menu click on "my equipment," click on the "+," and select "Door Keeper."
Then let the application guide you.
Notes:
- Invitations. If guests managed your Door Keeper through the Somfy Keys application, in order to allow them to continue accessing your lock, you must send them invitations from the Somfy Protect application to notify them. To do this, click on: menu < users < add a new user and fill in the fields. Your guest will receive an invitation and will be prompted to download the Somfy Protect application.
- Please note that the calendar-based access restriction feature, which allowed you to define specific times for access to certain sections of the application, will no longer be available in the new version.
- Attention, the migration is irreversible! Once your installation is linked to Somfy Protect, you will no longer be able to use Somfy Keys.
